Another Plane That I Have Flown Has Crashed

While reading an article about the plane crash at Moab, Utah there was a link to another crash at Lake Powell that killed two French tourists last year.
I looked up the N Number and it was one that I have hundreds of hours in.
That brings the total to at least thirteen, that I know of, the number of planes that I have flown that have crashed. Additionally, I was a passenger/navigator in another that subsequently crashed, killing two.
At least twenty four fatalities that I know of.

Two for me; both ended up in the mountains. Rather sobering after I found out. Nothing big, four seaters.

Probably time you gave us a full list of registrations, PHX, for our protection..........

They are/were all N numbered.
That should narrow it down a bit.
Furthermore, one was never found/recovered and more than half the others were total losses.
I think with those outcomes you are fairly safe.
Maybe OHL could crunch the numbers for you to help ease your mind over the possibilities.

Just need to know if you left any tell-tale marks each time, like teeth marks on the coaming trim, blood on the control column, etc.

Same thing has happened with me; Yhe first job I had after gaining my CPL back in '85 was flying a Cessna 206 out of the Oil/Gas fields in outback SA.

That A/C was last seen as a torn and crumpled pile of Duralumin behind a hangar in Darwin.

At least two of four Pa 31's I used to pole around SA were subsequently pranged. One was repaired.....I think.

PP's post on 2 October inspired me to look back over my logbooks in idle moments over the past week and delve into how many airframes that I've flown which have at some point ended up as being written off. I have to admit I was quite shocked by the number in the list - 39! Here are the details and they are in the order that I flew them:

To the best of my knowledge the only aircraft that has been written off due to accident in my far less extensive and storied log than some of the folks here is this one, which I flew to Tingwall back in the day. The aircraft is particularly memorable to me because I had an electrical fire in G-OOGA some months before that Shetland flight, when the avionics loom burst into a white hot flame mere inches from my legs, and crown jewels, on approach to Biggin Hill. Fortunately I had somebody sensible in the passenger seat who was able to reach back, find and discharge the fire extinguisher, with the master switch off, and crack the passenger door open to remove the thick acrid smoke and fire extinguisher powder. What could have been a potentially fatal single pilot moment became a farce as I had declared an emergency and the sight of the aircraft trailing smoke had the fire services chasing G-OOGA down the runway intent on swamping the cockpit with foam, with the fire already extinguished.
