Hmmm, it occurs to me that 999 is 666 upside down - were they tempting fate with that tail number?

Reminds me of the story that, I think Ginger Lacey, told about his flying training.
On a medium level navex, he'd suffered a birdstrike, but his CO was none too pleased when the bird's remains in the wing were ID'ed as a chicken.
