Black triangle !

What's the purpose of this triangle which appears on the inside of the fusillage of (eg) the A320 we flaw back on today ?

It's the seat row with the clearest view of the wing, the best place for viewing the lift augmentation devices.

I would have thought it would have come up on a course, did on ours, 320 to 321 differences I think.
Always been there A300 series onwards.

319/320 to 321 transition was via memo.
Same for transition to the 321 NEO.
Like so much of training on new stuff, they would disseminate the info well ahead but you were not to use it until they "flipped the switch". That could be months in the future. By the same token, you were to instantly forget how you had done it forever and had it drilled into you during "real" training.
This was especially bad on the NEO transition. PCDLC (https://skybrary.aero/articles/controll ... ions-cpdlc) was an especially problematic transition as it wasn't available everywhere at the same time.
