New definition of 'VFR'
Re: New definition of 'VFR'
Clouds with granite centres are quite common around there. This one was in Papua New Guinea, and we were VFR at the time. <woops>

Re: New definition of 'VFR'
All the bush flying here is VFR. Indeed very few pilots have IRs. Not much granite but the odd giraffe has been clipped. Oh, and a warthog on one occasion but the stupid thing did rush across the runway on landing. Chief pilot was flying, never let him forget it. Took out an undercarriage. Pork on the menu at the camp that night.

Re: New definition of 'VFR'
Probably the most egregious CFIT incident I have come across in Southern Africa... An appalling tragedy for the family who lost their kids and ultimately for all concerned... Why do people do this kind of thing? It is an ignominious way to die and causes such heart ache.
