Here’s an unusual headline :D

We appear to have reverted to a normal summer; wind 22kt gusting 32kt, heavy rain showers and bright sunshine - simultaneously. :-?

Hello,
Just a normal July day but it's hot in the sun.

Glad the shinglies are feeling a little better, SM had it all down her left side and it took a while to go, she still gets the pain every now and then. No pox when she was a girlie.

I liked *Slasher's* escapade brought back so many memories.
Away from base ground equipment is such a pain. He is lucky to have AFB engineering cover too.

Just been over to NCL Neighbour for the weekly check and water but not planning a great deal else.
Waiting for C4 to show Quali so I can do catchup. Missed Sky due SM floor cleaning.

I'm going to marinade some chicken in Ras el Hanout to barbeque and have with salad.

Perhaps a nap fust.

and, of course, 86

So apart from that everything went smoothly?

One of the very few times I didn't put the jet on the red carpet to the second was RUH. B@rstards sent us 22 nms down wind. I was screaming for a turn in.
Um yes Ex-A...the engines all worked, the F/O knew what he was doing, all the dunnies flushed, drank an extremely good Columban blend (made by a hostie who dragged it out of her kit because she took pity on me), capt's missus had a nice ride to and fro despite the heat and I didn't fcuk up my landing.

Only 22nm downwind? Put an apple on the STAC's desk did we sah? I dream of RUH giving me only 22nm! Usually it's far further due to traffic. Sometimes I brief my offsider that we may have to call the Tower on HF once we intercept final!

Returning from me canal today, Mrs 4ma told me about a young man who came to the door and asked if she wanted some special stuff put on the lawn to make it green again. Mrs 4ma said to the young man 'No thanks' and that she already has a load of the same special stuff that she puts on the lawn to make it green - it's called rainwater. Apparently young man then departed stage left at warp speed when neighbour - a police chief superintendent - came out of his house and called to the young man "Don't I know you?" =)) Feckin pikeys.
It's always my fault - SWMBO

A couple of pages back we were talking instrument panels, it's taken me a while to find this, any takers for what it is apart from the most complex roof panel I have ever seen.

Looks like my wife's washing machine control panel. The only difference is that the aircraft terms would mean something to me.

Reminds me a little of the office seen herein last weekend! Clearly not though as image shows two engines on decal.

Ah the bobbin controller! Which is more sewing machine. Perhaps an old Singer sewing machine panel! =))

No, I actually have an old Singer sewing machine, and an old dryer; that's definitely a dryer timer - the numbers are bigger ;)))

The last time I saw a SInger sewing machine my 12 year old sister put a neat stitch through my right forefinger. The pain must have warped my memory of the machine! :D ;)))

Still carry the scar and the grievance against said sister! You can't uncrank the cranked handle! =))

When my sister reached twelve, I left home - sounds like I left not a moment too soon!

I left soon after myself, and wandered the world, broken, like a man who had been stiched up, but also living in mortal fear of all the other sisters. I have 7 of them (1/2 sisters really) from the English and South African sides of my complicated family tree. Each one of them more dangerous than the next one! You are lucky to have survived Fox3! =))

^ ^ ^

—————————————————————-
It rained today! Proper, siling down, couldn't see out of the window rain it were. Wetness lasted for about three hours this afternoon. Been a bit blustery too with 'normal' temp now of 14C. Will have to put the cover on the duvet!

Shingles reducing by the day but sleep last night was interrupted by the chest pain. I hadn't taken a tab but will do so tonight. Spoke to a lass this afternoon whose shingles attacked her sciatic nerve. :-o :((

I have my gran's ancient Jones 'by appointment to HM Queen Alexandra' sewing machine. It's portable i.e in a heavy wooden case and a lot easier to understand and use than my 1990s model.

I got a new telly for the kitchen last week. It, too, is excellent. :-bd
All generalisations are false, including this one.
