Re: BA 767
I can't believe that this workhorse of BA is being retired from service. Have they ever been used for a transatlantic service?

Re: BA 767
I can remember them on the LHR- BWI run and also NAS-GCM, but long haul routes phased out about 5 years ago.

Bit more info
British Airways 767-336ER
Today we say farewell to British Airway's 767 fleet, after 28 years in service. British Airways have operated a total of 28. The first to leave the BA fleet were 6 examples that went to Qantas in 2000. The next to go were the 14 long haul configured aircraft, withdrawn between 2013 to 2016 plus 1 that went to Openskies leaving 7 short haul configured examples. Withdrawal of the last 7 began in Janurary this year, then 2 in July and 2 in November, leaving just 2 at the end. Its always a joy to fly a widebody on a short haul route, and these 767s were a perfect way to do this: Rome, Stockholm, Frankfurt, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Istanbul, Zurich... Larnaca was the last destination operated by the 767 and today's BA662/BA663 will be the last one ever.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Was SLF on an Air Mauritius B-767 once.

Re: BA 767
What are they using to replace the 767?
Re: BA 767
A320/321 for shorter haul and presumably B787's for the longer haul - more of both on order and expected shortly according to Jethro's.
Only tried Ansetts version of the 767 - thought I was on an A310 until I read the safety card!! Lovely big WC from memory - plenty of room to join the mile high club - another fantasy not fulfilled!

Re: BA 767
It was always a bonus to find oneself on a 767 on the Embra Shytle instead of that poxy wee Airbus thing.
