Did a university PR course once and was asked how our company (RAF) approached equal rights. I said that I flew with a female navigator. This went down well with the sandal and jeans wearing OU lecturer. 'She is bloody gorgeous' did not. He was probably a woofter.
A few years later was on the Monarch A300 course and found out that her ex-husband was on our course. Wound up a fellow officer who also used to fly with her to say what he would have liked to do with her not knowing she was his ex-wife.
