The Country where...

#1 Post by OFSO » Tue Feb 12, 2019 12:30 pm

The BBC newsfeed on my phone keeps coming up with a story entitled "The Country where Lesbians Talk in Code". I confess I am confused about this. Morse ? Octel ? Wimsel ? Suggestions on a postcard please...

I purchased the Polari handbook/dictionary last year. Origins of Polari language are travelling show people, theatres, fairs etc. Then used by gay community.
