Flybe for sale
The helicopter pilots' mantra: If it hasn't gone wrong then it's just about to...

Re: Flybe for sale
It's been a pretty lousy airline for many years, and has only stayed in business by serving a number of routes that had limited competition.
Unreliable, known in CI as FlyMaybe.
No doubt Alex Cruz is waiting to get his greasy hands on it.

Re: Flybe for sale
I have a notion that Stobarts may come back in with a lower offer than last time.

Re: Flybe for sale
Seems that Flybe is going to be rebranded as Virgin Atlantic.

Re: Flybe for sale
It would appear that so is Stobart Air

Apparently the combined airlines will be named Connect Airways and operate under the Virgin Atlantic name.

According to local ITV, schedules continue until October when a 'review' is due.
Re: Flybe for sale
The company has been limping along for several years, the current CEO was brought in to remedy the situation.
I listened to Christine Ourmieres-Widener being interviewed on Radio 4 Today program a couple of weeks ago, she did not come across very well at all. Having carried out some work for the company a couple of years ago I could see that they had lost their way, the CEO was addressing the fact that there were not enough women directors and the aircraft needed rebranding, neither of which seemed to be particularly high priority in their current situation.
A pilot has been suspended after sending the BBC Today program an email
The employee, a senior pilot, addressed the email to Flybe's chief executive Christine Ourmieres-Widener.
"Congratulations, in 2 years at Flybe you and your fellow incompetent cohorts have managed to totally destroy a viable airline which was making profits when you took over," he wrote.
The BBC understands that the airline has suspended the pilot.
Flybe told the BBC that "an individual was suspended on 17 January 2019 in accordance with company policy."

Re: Flybe for sale
Another example of French 'management' in action. They are useless bosses, particularly the females.
I hesitate to say Flybe was ever a 'good' airline, rather a useful one, but she dragged it down.
