Back to tax ! Most provinces and autonomous regions do not charge IHT on world-wide inheritance. But Spain charges up to 34% for tax residents inheriting anywhere in the world. In fact I believe same rules now apply to non-residents too.

Llarssnow, I had a couple of Bowens tumours removed. Malignant but take years to mestasize so not a worry. Main thing is the biopsies around the site after removal to ensure all affected tissue taken out.

Right it is back to EK. Qatar share a lounge at JNB with about 50 other airlines and is a lounge where the poor people can pay to get into. No champagne only sparkling crap. Terrible seating no smoked salmon. The EK lounge is fantastic. This is like a waiting room at a railway station.

Absolutely no problem with baggage on a one hour turn around in Doha they are very good. Anyway we are hand baggage only.

Thanks for the weather report Wodders. Guess it will be the wood burning stove.

The instant service is worth every penny. I got mine in Durham a few years ago. In at 0840, and on the train on my way to Edinburgh with new passport in hand at 1400.
You need a passport to cross the border to Scotland now?

Sim recurrent all complete for 6 months. Just jet lag to battle now.
The enrichment training was good. High altitude stalls, then dual engine failure at FL450, fly it to EHAM and land. Flying it without a yaw damper proved tricky...

For once I like to return straight home from the office. At least I picked up my mobile -which had some issues. All the best to our travelling couple.

We went to a private hospital on an NHS referral. Large free car park, call if you need assistance. Ushered to reception. Mrs PN given an IPad to update her details. Free tea, coffee, biscuits, stack of current magazines (for women). Seen within 10 minutes of appointed time by consultant who had actually read her notes.

Why can't the NHS be like that. This was in Nottingham. All the Lincolnshire hospitals are virtually derelict old buildings patched together apart from Spalding. I just wonder where the Lincolnshire NHS Trust has put its money.

Try looking at the offices of all the Senior Managers, the jobs that the private hospital manages to do without.

Golly Reddo impressive FL.

Not impressed with Qatar though. Somewhere over the middle of Africa. EK have a better information and entertainment service.

Cabin service, grub and drinkies good. Just having chocolates, cognac and coffee.

Flight times changed without telling us.

Their shared lounge at JNB was absolutely ghastly.

Ian. We once visited the ULH Trusts HQ, no medical facilities but some very expensive cars in the free executive parking slots.

We had a former Boy Entrant Radar Fitter like myself in the Association, after his RAF service he progressed into the maintenance of Medical Equipment.

His tales of 'administrative excess' of the NHS were eye opening.

Morning. 6.40am here and 23C. Tea leaf reader says we can expect a few days of clear wx after the last few days of +RA with TS.

Just sat down for brekky. Early start today with two new kids still wet with afterbirth. It will be 4h total in the classroom followed by 4h in the procedural trainer. Total of 11h from the time I walk in the Facility till I stagger out at 7pm.

Ap went back Monday arvo but left 4 bottles of 'shine which is my crutch for getting through each day, and she bought a nice alarm clock for me which is a small statue of a Chinese woman with naked big tits. This has found a place on the desk at my bedside. Quite pleasant to wake up to and see.

She said yesterday the top temp at Slasherdigs has been in the low 40s but fortunately low humidity. Since this is unseasonally high it indicates an early Wet will arrive sometime in May.

Our little bloke Andrew is apparently chafing the bit to fly the Super Cub and disappointed his old man won't be back till next month. Ap mentioned he said he's (quote) "groundsick". He also turns 10 tomorrow! :YMPARTY:

Going back upstairs soon to knock off a full glass of 🥃 before buggering off to work.

PS: Eagerly awaiting present status of The Chair on Amorgos from Ex-A.

Does your brand new employer truly not care about such?

24 hrs Capt and I can report.

Made Doha. Not impressed with Qatar. 10 mins before TOD clear up, lock toilets and lock bars, seat belt signs on so as the cabin crew can clear up. Cabin crew were ordered to be seated 15 mins before landing. made an official complaint to the charming cabin supervisor. Apparently new company policy from 1st April. He welcomed my comments as he thought it was stupid as well.

No mattress, pillow and duvet. No constant flow of champers although given on request. No idea how they got business class of the year.

Morning folks

Bit of a cloudy day here. Rain is forecast for late evening.

In fact the guessers have indicated they think this holiday weekend will be a tad poor on the weather side.
