As with the three posters above, I too am a landlord and have had a tenant in one house for almost 20 years, which must say something about the arrangement.

I would recommend that our mutual 'friend' is best treated in future, by completely ignoring any post he makes. No responses, no comments, nothing. After a while he may get bored with talking to himself and just fade away (or preferably disappear up his own arsehole).

I too am a landlord, I own rental properties in several countries, and resent being referred to in the above terms by a person who clearly has a chip on both shoulders ( hence the 'chips' I suppose) and is full of bilious and all encompassing envy directed at anyone who has embraced capitalism and thus been successful in life.

I too would like to see an apology or modifier, or better still to see this odious character removed from our forum. I agree with alternative views but they do not need to be expressed in his manner.

I
Ah, it appears some of you get rather emotional really.

Now, being not very bright, I thought the correlation of my terms used to describe landlords who abuse Section 21 would have been evident. Apparently not but, at least they gave several of you the opportunity to reach for the smelling salts and poundeth forth on the keyboard to assuage your angst.

Anyway, back to your esteemed self..... it now appears you are an international property magnate no less !.....thus adding to the career portfolio which leaves me truly in awe of course, such success in life being far beyond me limited capabilities . Thus one little query about the locations of these properties.....are any of them located in your country of birth and, if so, where is this ?.....please don't be shy here, reticence has never been one of your prominent traits and setting a precedent is rather unbecoming after all.

Although on the subject of Section 21, it would be fitting if the current tenant at 10 Downing St had one plonk through her letter box.....sooner rather than later. "

"Just pop the keys through the letter box on yer way out Treeza, we've got a set of spares and we'll collect them after you've left....and don't worry about making arrangements to forward any mail, we'll take care of that as well ....Yours, the Tory party "

Jokingly, I suggested months ago that every UK citizen should be able to decide on an individual basis whether to remain in the EU or not. From her new passport, received today, it's evident that Mrs OFSO has left, and will have to use the NON--EU control at Schengen borders in future.

Well that's confidence for you.

What a laff if UKIP sweeps the board and The Brexit Party loses.

He has just 5 weeks to raise brand awareness of the new party.

At the last EU elections five years ago, UKIP had 24 members in Brussels. They are now down to 4. Three deserted ship this week and joined Farage's new party.

Anyone else see the Party Political Broadcast by the Liberal Party this evening ? Pathetic.

I don't think the media have a quarter of the grassroots knowledge and experience they would need to accurately comment, and not a tenth of the influence they seem to think they have; politicians likewise. The parties both at MP and constituency level have no common goal, and little remaining internal loyalty or control.
The polls are unrepresentative by the admission of their own marketing council's investigation.

One awaits the election results, local and EU, with some interest and absolutely no prior expectations.

.
.......... parasitic, avaricious, malignant vermin known as landlords to simply evict a tenant for no reason...
Before moving to NZ permanently we bought the house that we would eventually occupy, but decided to rent it for the 6 months before we were due to take up residency. It was just before Christmas, and we told our prospective clients that we couldn't cope with re-renting whilst still out of the country, and that we needed an assurance that our tenants wanted it for at least 5 of the six months that it was available. No problem, and a suitable tale was told to us. In the first week of January, still overseas of course, we got a telephone call advising that the tenants were moving out, and demanding their Bond back forthwith, that they had only really needed somewhere to be near family for the holiday, that the "contract" that they had signed was worthless, and if we tried to enforce it, or refuse to pay the Bond back, quote " my mates will be around to sort you out when you finally come and live here "

Later, another tenant in another house - long story - totally wrecked the place and threatened unofficial "action" if we tried to get reparation.

In view of the latest "racial climate" I should really refrain from saying that both tenants were of a specific ethnic group found in NZ, fellow examples of which will never be tenants of mine, they can sleep in the bloody gutter for all I care. Racist ? Moi ? Does that make me a "parasitic, avaricious, malignant vermin " ?

Tough. I can live with that.

Here is Nigel in the EU Parliament this morning,

First, congratulations of providing the perfect link....the Sun and Nige together ....flotsam meets jetsam you might say.

About Niges "comeback "...Nige seems intent on rivalling Treeza and her "U" turns in this respect....or emulating a soggy firework ...lots of noise and spluttering only to just fizzle out shortly thereafter.

Now, for some good news and I'm sure you've all been waiting for this moment...ones right click function has been restored and hence links are now available once more.

Here's the first. All of our happy racists will recall those alarming headlines about nasty immigrants overwhelming our green and (in the case of racists ) septic isle..cue why the UK must leave the EU histrionics.

Alas, all is not quite as was being promoted in this respect. This report is rather revealing therefore, but, as always, thank you Mr Banks for your efforts here. Note also those two rags, the Mail and the Excess, both of whom carried this story to ensure their limited cognitive development readership continued to be suitably deluded......

Ain't technology wonderful...chaps !

Interesting. Will you have to re-marry her(=as a new passport owner) to leave EU, too? :-?

No but my beard means I have to use the non-EU-citizens booths at the border, as the EU scanners no longer recognise my face.

Brexit party leading with 27% support in this week's YouGov poll, nearly double the support of a week earlier.

Points of note, those over age 50 show strongest support for the Brexit Party, more than their support for Labour and Conservative combined. They make up half the electorate, and showed a 53% turnout at the 2014 EU Elections. Those under age 25 show almost 50% support for Labour, with the Greens getting 25% support in second. However, they make up only 11% of the electorate, and had a 19% turnout at the 2014 EU Elections.
If the turnout figures are similar this time, the Brexit Party will win by a landslide.
Also of note is that Brexit and Labour have equal support among ABC1's.

The archetypal non-Brexit Party voter is a young professional female from London or Manchester, who votes Labour (if she can be bothered..and she usually can't).
The archetypal Brexit Party supporter is an over 50 skilled manual male from anywhere except London or Scotland, three quarters of whom voted Tory in 2017 and 20% of whom voted Labour.

I received a Tory Councillor advert in the post (handwritten envelope) from the local lady Councillor, rather a plaintive plea at the end "not to allow the current situation to affect my support", I received the postal ballot this morning, a choice between a useless lib dem, a socialist (hardly), and this lady.
Despite all my best intentions I voted Tory because there was no other option and she works hard at the job, so my guess is that Tories will do ok at the local elections. If we do get EU elections then I suspect that Brexit Party will have a massive share of the vote, it is the main elections that is a matter of concern.

Corbyn and his scheming malevolent followers have cleverly infected all schooling, teachers, and children with their plans to remove any form of examinations in case that causes "stress", never mind the end products will be unemployable, have tempted their workshy bone idle followers with glimpses of a future laden with every type of benefit to ensure that they can idle their days in the bookmakers and fail to pay their rent with impunity, coupled with dark plans to allow infants to vote and a justifiable reliance on anticipating that anyone under 45 doesn't have a clue about defence, business requirements and taxation. In this way their tempting promises may well attract the dim and unsuspecting.
The Tories will be soundly punished for their duplicity, incompetence and lies, this will leave a situation where UKIP and the Brexit Party (neither of whom have any policies or manifestos other than being rude to foreigners and leaving the EU) to take a substantial segment of the Tory Vote. This may well result in a Labour Government together with a situation where we are paying a fortune into the EU and locked in some terrible deal.

All in all a mess, at the time of the referendum that nice Mr Putin offered discontented British people the opportunity to live in a remote part of Russia with no electricity, houses, medical care or roads, and the promise of a Russian passport after 10 years if you are still alive, it now seems a tempting offer.

This is a long-standing offer, available since the days of Joe Stalin, and also available to Russians who disagree with the leader ;)))

Now, of course, Mr Putin offers cups of tea and dirty doorhandles to Russians who disagree with him

Further details, I think there is a typo in the bit that says there are 3 people per square metre, not sure what they mean there
