With globalisation, and our fetish for leaks, I imagine you would have to forego international travel.

Re: Jeremy Corbyn defends Shamima Begum's right to legal aid
Where do I stand with regard to Begum ? Well, not the death penalty. But since she does not appeared to have changed her views regarding ISIS and associated atrocities, and since I'm free of obligations of international law, not being a judge, I'd leave here where she is, suffering the consequences of her actions. IMHO if more people were forced to accept the consequences of their actions the world would be a better place.

What crime, within British jurisdiction, is she alleged to have committed?

Not sure. Giving aid to a group inimical to or dedicated to destroying our way of life ?

Stealing a passport, fraudulent use of stolen passport, assisting an offender, aid and comfort to the enemy. There must be something.
Remember, British jurisdiction does not end at Dover. HMRC will tax you wherever you have assests. Paedophiles committing offences overseas are prosecuted in UK.
This article by our Chip's favourite source is relevant:

A Home Office proscription order to be approved by parliament this week will make it illegal to be a member of or to provide support to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, known as Isis.
I don't believe there is a geographic limit to this but returning to the UK removes that loophole.

If there exists an outstanding arrest warrant under this law, why don't they fetch her back to face the charge against her?
"aid and comfort to the enemy" is an odd phrase. The enemy was/is the government of Syria. Her mob were fighting on our side against that government. Her mob were displaced by US state sponsored Peshmerga terrorists.

Undried Plum , our reaction to her may be influenced by the way her mob treated some Westerners.

Yes, I think that's very much the case. It's tribalism, which has got nothing to do with Justice or the rule of Law.
She's accused of being stupid and choosing an arsehole of a husband when she was 15 and then doing wifely things like cooking and breeding.
Guilt by association is a pretty weak crime, isn't it?

That presupposes that it would be safe for those charging with arresting her to travel and get her. Lots of players were fighting the Syrians. I know we voted not to but that didn't make us allied to Isil. But then again the whole situation is a mess and I don't prefer to know who is who except the Kurds seem good guys.

It was safe enough for a string of journos and film crews to go to that camp and talk to her, and to come back safely. It's in an area controlled by US state sponsored terrorists.
The Foreign Office has people who are capable of such travel and have the ability to call on some rather well trained specialists in martial skills who could very easily escort her from Syria to where she wants to be.

Apparently there is another Isil bride who lost an arm and breast and the family want to get her home.
Re: Jeremy Corbyn defends Shamima Begum's right to legal aid
At some level, if bringing her back and letting her tale be told results in a sudden drop in desire to go to Syria amongst others then it would be in the public interest to make it happen. Yes, it might cost the taxpayer up-front but the return on investment down the line might be worth it.

Llondel, since when has the bitter truth ever deterred a teenager?
Re: Jeremy Corbyn defends Shamima Begum's right to legal aid
How sad.Entire British family of 12 - including three children aged 11, five and one - who fled their home in Luton to join ISIS in Syria are all now DEAD
Never mind, plenty more to replace them.

Cape, things have been quiet on that tread. What is the source and date?
At least the innocent ones have been spared the pain of growing up knowing that their parents were killed for their beliefs by the Christian west.

Just saw that story today somewhere in the paper, couldn't be bothered to read it. Joins 90% of the stuff I see that comes in the same category. People want to be stupid, not my problem.

His son by a previous marriage sounds so normal.Stoneboat wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 9:19 pmhttps://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/articl ... -DEAD.htmlPontius Navigator wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 6:14 pmCape, things have been quiet on that tread. What is the source and date?

His son by one of his other wives - so only part of the family died - he claimed.
