Ben - this is total crap. One day you will learn.
"I've rebuilt the military...we spent £1.5 trillion dollars, when I came in our military was depleted, frankly we didn't have ammunition OK?"

When one sees reports like this and remembers the "Weapons of mass destruction" prior to the Iraqi conflict, confirmed by "Intelligence community reports" then the presidents desire not to act without more positive proof is surely understandable.
“The intelligence community has high confidence that these were not weapons that would have been in the possession of the Houthis.”

I learned a long time ago, Boac, about your posts. But thanks for the heads up on this particular one.Ben - this is total crap. One day you will learn.
Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
..........and PLEASE recognise I did not say it. Obviously you believe it. OK?
Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
I think the same Ben. Just as the Allies believed the Ardennes forest was impenetrable by German army tanks, so I’m now quite doubtful that Iran is unconquerable by its geographical features alone. Yankee knowhow will come up with something ingenious. And that can be safely bet on.
Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
Slasher - I think you are being confused by Benjamin's strange 'fantasies' and invented conversations. I do not recall having said anything about Iran's prospects in a conflict. Indeed, now that the Messiah has bought all that ammunition for the US troops I suspect they will have to think long and hard before they do anything, whereas before the Messiah descended from heaven the US was indeed powerless.

Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
The US hasn't been powerless since its founding in 1789 under the Constitution. Funding and equipping US military forces has never been messianic in any sense.whereas before the Messiah descended from heaven the US was indeed powerless.
And your references to 'fantasies and invented conversations - Where did that come from?
Have you been vaping?
Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
I guess that little incident in 1814 showed how powerful the US was even then!
BTW, has your powerful military disposed of these fellows yet?
IIRC guys with bicycles won their war against the US..

- please refer post #244, quotes from the Messiah who says it has. MUST be right, eh Benjamin - the word of the chosen one - surely?Benjamin wrote:The US hasn't been powerless since its founding in 1789 under the Constitution.
In my military experience "frankly we didn't have ammunition OK?" renders most forces powerless - what about yours? What did you have? Cardboard cut-out guns from Cornflake packets/water-pistols/nasty flippy-flappy tippy-toppy rubber-band toys? Fascinating military expertise you display!

You're on a roll, Boac. Keep digging!
Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
Reality, Benjamin, reality
Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
It will be interesting if SA accept the offer from Chump's big mate to supply S-400s. With the system deployed in Lebanon and India looking at building the missiles, the situation is getting 'interesting' indeed. With the system deployed in Iran...............

Plus it would keep F-35 away from RSAF.

That's your reality, is it? I'll pass, thank you. What did you have? Cardboard cut-out guns from Cornflake packets/water-pistols/nasty flippy-flappy tippy-toppy rubber-band toys?
That seems to be the emerging US doctrine, initiated when Turkey chose to implement Russia's S-400 air defense array. It substantially locks out current and future US technology. If past is prologue, choosing Russian over American systems for air defense and fighter hardware has proven to be a poor choice in high stakes war fighting for a generation or so.

Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
As the 100% successful attack against the Patriot-defended oil plant at Abqaiq has already shown as a "prologue", Patriot is as useful as a chocolate fireguard against incoming cruise missiles and UAVs which are little more than long-range model aircraft that can be built by any reasonably advanced hobbyist.
The Yehudis have been saying for years that Patriot has about a 2% success rate. That's clearly not very good against a fleet of two or three dozen cruise missiles.
What the Saudis need is a couple of dozen extended batteries of S-400. Then they can start to defend themselves against air attack.
Whether that would be a good thing is a whole nuther conversation.

Re: Getting hot in the Gulf
Well, it will certainly make for 'interesting times'. When you look at 'Patriot', you can see what the Chump meant when he said the US had 'run out of ammunition'. I would not be surprised if the Saudis wanted their money back.
