The Bloody Australian Thread

#1 Post by TheGreenGoblin » Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:38 am

Over the, now, many years of my miserable life, I have had the opportunity to meet many bastards, but I must say that, in all of this I have never met worse or better bastards than the Australians :)

I will keep flying out of this story as I don't want to piss the Moderator off too much as I know she is an Australian based, ex-pilot, although, like Capetonian , I suspect she is originally British.

That said my experience of Aussies it that, even when they are strong, or even wrong minded, and in your face, like bastards, you can't stop yourself from liking some of them!

Now I must say that in that context I have grown to attach a huge amount of respect to the Aussie/English Mod Alison, and by lateral implication, despite being an Aussie, her being a decent human being that deserves a lot of respect from all of us, for allowing us to be bastards ourselves. Her sexuality or choice thereof being **** irrelevant to anybody but her.

Now I know this is not a Court of Law, nor is it the internet fair but I would like to look at the case of Slasher and that of the big swinging sword, Sisemen !

Slasher is clearly a bloody good airline pilot and the kind of bloke you want on your side on a Cat 1 Approach or in a bar, being a bloke sussing out tits and not mumbling too much poetry.

Sisemen is an RAF officer, and a pilot. I would stand by him in any bar fight or a poetry competition, as I suspect Alison, you would too.

Where am I going with this is that I perceive that natural law says that, you, Alison have been slighted, and as humans, we should, apologize and try and make good. I ask the two men to look at what they have said and their own sense of decency and consciences and do what they think they should

What I am saying Alison is that I am asking you to allow these two gentlemen back.

What I am saying is that I will stand surety for them. I have not spoken to either of them in this, If you allow them back, on your terms, I trust in their, and your, sense of fairness and their enjoyment of this site and you good judgement. If either of, or one of them, are allowed back, whether or not either of the two Australian nincompoops choose to do so, I would be delighted to pay this site's expenses for the next two years.

GG, mate. There is not a chance in hell of Slasher being allowed back. Sisemen maybe. For the record he was not a pilot but a Sqn Ldr administrator and 'escort' to HRH The Princess of Wales. It was all official though, we think!

As it is TBAT, my uncle, also from India/Ireland was in Oz for 50 years. When officials messed him around he was quite able to give them an interview in their offices.

I had the opportunity to see him when we passed through Oz, only a couple of hours each way. When he contacted Amberley, thinking they would not even let him on the base, he was thrilled when they brought him right out to our aircraft and gave him the red carpet.

OTOH the Customs at Darwin were 110% Aussie bastards and laughed at us too.
