Well done Admin. Your fingers must have been flying across the keyboard.

No rain.

Well done Admin. Your fingers must have been flying across the keyboard.

No rain.

With the closing of the Sussex thread I am seriously considering joining the many other people who have decided to leave this forum. I can list them all. I thought freedom of speech was paramount here. I am a Royalist and as the majority here have taken the Queen's shilling. If we can't discuss problems within The Firm I am going.

That was fast. We are back. I just woke up from my afternoon nap.

A big thank you to the Admin for her background work and the speed she worked for those hours

That's not totally boring and pointless, it's vitally important information.

Hugs and kisses Alison. Now I know how long I can last without ON (and it's not long).

Ex A, I'm puzzled by that thread being closed down for no reason, we all have different opinions but no one has said anything outrageous or in any way litigious for the forum on that thread.
It is getting increasingly difficult to guess what can and can't be discussed on here, we are not permitted to make observations on global warming, illness, Royal Family or transvestites.
We have lost three very respected people recently, each one a professional achiever with impressive backgrounds, to lose any more might be thought careless.

Seamless change-over Alison. Thank you for your efforts. Spent the afternoon with the modem unplugged because of thunder & lightning but that seems to have moved away. The Met Office decided not to give this bit of wind a name.
Weather - hit 113 mph on mainland Orkney and we've had constant horizontal sleet for the last hour or two.

An Observation:

Sick Bay: No discussion of cancer treatments permitted.
Politics and Controversial: No discussion of the behaviour of members of the royal family permitted.

Cheese is fine.

So Woman's Weekly and the Lancet are out but Farmhouse Kitchen is in?

Anything else I should know?

I did not intend my flippant comment about the Sussex thread to be taken seriously, nor did I intend or expect to cause the reactions above. I am utterly bored with the whole topic but as others have said, I don't have to read it.

We certainly do not want to lose any more members, least of all the Ex-As.

For the record I have enormous respect for almost the entire Royal Family. That excludes Markle as I don't consider her worthy of being considered Royalty in any shape or form.

I have to say that as a confessed monarchist I have lost all interest in the conniving manipulating woman and her thicko husband who have had the audacity to turn their backs on my beloved Queen. The Empress Dowager Tzu Hsi would have eternally expunged their names from The Record, and should our own Alison come to a similar conclusion on this website, who could gainsay her ? Close the thread and move on...

Very busy tour. CRM presentations, food poisoning, line check, special airports and dodgy weather. Glad to be home.

At the height of the gale, the harbour master radioed a coastguard and asked him to estimate the wind speed. He replied he was sorry, but he didn’t have a gauge. However, if it was any help, the wind had just blown his Land Rover off the cliff.

Apparently there is a yellow snow warning in effect for Scotland.
