With the closing of the Sussex thread I am seriously considering joining the many other people who have decided to leave this forum.
'Ave it back if you like. My thoughts were "poor buggers" should leave them alone. C'om on how many for and how many against.
I say put it back and let those not interested not read it.

We need the snippets from the Stronsay Limpet and the Botswanen Bush Telegraph in equal measure.

Apparently there is a yellow snow warning in effect for Scotland.

Can't the Scots piss into toilets?

I misread the initial statement about the warning and I needed a second reading to empty my brain from a thought similar of the one Capetonian mentioned.

Bring it back for those who want to read about them.Personally I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire. That includes all of the clan.Thats what's good about forums like this as we can all have our own ideas.

Yes, but what will the neighbours think?

Imagine, if you will, some red-blooded, heavy pilot, wishing to meet-up with similar on retirement and sees a "Woman's Weekly" discussion on what Kates kids are wearing to school? The toing and froing of Harry and wench isn't that far removed. :D

Thanks again, Admin, for your work! All seems back to normal.
As to the Royals (most of 'em) one only has to look across the Channel - or the Atlantic - to say 'thank God for what we've got: we're not saddled with w@nkers like most of wot's over there.'

IMHO ......."There's nowt so queer as folk" - Old Yorkshire saying - so thank goodness we're all different, Race, Colour, Citizenship, Religion, Sex, Political affiliations etc. etc. and so are clearly going to have different opinions about what is Great and Glorious about this site compared to TOP, Farcebook and similar, how boring it would be if we all thought alike, what would there be to argue about ?

So ... so long as we don't descend into obscenity, blatantly rude or objectionable comments about each other - and that doesn't mean I can't disagree with you - let it all hang out and just read what keeps you 'appy, and ignore the rest.

Good morning to all. Dawn just arriving in the north of Iberia. Forecast is for another cold night followed by a hot day. Heating on at six am but a/c in the car at midday coming back from the Basilica. Mrs OFSO still coughing and I'm still wheezing. Heard from various sources this chest infection takes weeks to wear off.

Morning folks, Golly Reddo, CRM and food poisoning all in one day you deserve a medal for that. Hope OFSOs recover soon. Odd thing but in this climate colds etc seems very rare. It is other things you need to worry about like cannibalism.

Having a friend for lunch. Going to meet her at the safari camp up river. She has lived here for about 30 years but never been there. She is a manager at a safari camp the other side of town and it is good for various camp managers to meet each other. They all work together very well. No real competition. Some years ago there was a very bad fire at a camp out of town. This lady's camp took in their guests for free. Her son is the owner.

Ricardian whatever you do do not get on that ship today. :-o Or try flying kites.

OFSO, is that the start or end? We went down like 9 pins just before Christmas. I had sweats and shivers. This morphed into lethargy and a hacking cough and a wheezy chest. After a fortnight the doc gave me a ventilin inhaler to open up the tubes. Another fortnight saw him again, chest clear, cough a bit better, return if . . .

Another fortnight still coughing this time he gave me a nasal spray. Coincidentally I had a CT scan and this showed something on the lungs. Mrs PN immediately concludes mild COPD. I see the doc in March.

Long story but make sure yours doesn't follow that route.

Watching the sputum. Currently clear, but MD gave the wife some antibiotics to take if it turns green. She's had the once-for-life anti-pneumonia injection as she's asthmatic. Blowing 200 on the peak flow meter this morning. Not good. I was my usual 700 despite wheezing. Blood O2 good for both. Oh, we have all the gadgets ! Comes from a lifetime of mistrusting doctors.

I had this about 12 years ago then 4 years ago the Dr. said there was a new version that covered more of possible pathogens, and this one really was for life, so I had that as well.

The sun is trying to burn quite a cloud covering off.

Not doing much today. Need a rest before the travails of next week. Nose and knee appear recovered from the bed fall.

Peak Flow Meter - I blew 600 not 700, must not boast. An amazingly simple device, plastic cylinder with calibrated slider, cost next to nothing, tells you so much about your health. Along with a €15 blood/O2 finger clip from Aldi, of all places, and a thermometer. Save a lot of worry.

"My word, you do look well !"

Cheese is fine.
Cheese before royals any day but a baked Jersey Royal and cheese is very tasty although they are better roasted or steamed.
