Re: SpaceX
Interesting to be part of a viewing audience of ~1.3million (at the moment) on NASA's channel on YT:

Re: SpaceX
Post-Challenger, I guess NASA is a wee bit sensitive about wx reports at launch time.

Re: SpaceX
I was impressed by a comment that they can load/unload the fuel in 40 minutes. Or am I just vastly over-imagining the volume required?

Whoops - not an awfully settling piece of news for the guys. Bet they are at least happy to be on a Falcon.

On paper Methylox engines seem a very good idea but pushing a bleeding edge technology is difficult!Boac wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 8:42 pmhttps://www.airlive.net/alert-spacexs-s ... fire-test/

Re: SpaceX
https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/ ... ex-launch/After weather scrubbed the initial effort to launch two NASA astronauts to the International Space Station aboard a SpaceX rocket Wednesday, conditions are expected to become marginally more favorable for two possible attempts this weekend.
The launch, which would propel American astronauts into space from U.S. soil for the first time in nearly a decade, is first scheduled for Saturday at 3:22 p.m. If it cannot proceed, the next launch attempt would occur Sunday at 3 p.m.
The potential for disruptive weather is pegged at 50 percent Saturday and 40 percent Sunday, according to the Air Force’s 45th Weather Squadron, responsible for supporting missions at Kennedy Space Center. This is a slight improvement over Wednesday’s forecast, which assigned a 60 percent chance of unfavorable weather

Before you fly
It is far better
To scan the weather...
And the TAF
And not forget...
The local METAR!
