In many countries one has to prove ones identity and be marked that you have voted.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Chump is getting sweaty about the proposal for more postal voting due to Covid-1984 restrictions and wants the election delayed.
Both sides of the House have said NO! So he’s claiming already that it will be a rigged election.
This is priceless, coming from the folks who gave us one of the most dubious elections in 2000 when the nutter Dubya got in on the shreds of ‘hanging chads’ and many electors being denied voting because they were black or Democrats or walked upright.
Allegedly voter fraud in the US is of the order of 0.00004% to 0.00009%, but I can’t be arsed to do the number crunching for that figure with the voting population reported to be just north of 250,000,000 minus the Covid and shootings and ‘normal’ deaths.
But Chump is cleverly setting the scene for his inevitable challenge to the result if by some freak of fortune that awfully nice Mr Biden manages to scrape though. We live in and look forwards to interesting times...

....and on the other hand,Woofer,Trump is also pointing out at the same time that Biden and the Democrats will likely also resort to using the Courts to challenge the results if they loose to Trump. It could end up taking months of court challenges to determine who wins.
The Democrats to this day are still claiming that the 2016 elections were rigged against them and you should also recall that the last election challenge that went to Court was when Al Gore challenged the result when Bush won.
Just recently CBS (not known for their support of Trump )did a test where they mailed 100 dummy vote ballots to a mailbox set up to look like a voting office.Of the 100 votes mailed in from various Post Offices only 97 ever got returned to the mailbox. The" lost in the mail"ballots represents a 3% error.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Don't worry, Seen, the 3 were only Republican votes
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
I would bet,Bo,that both campaigns will carry out a number of similar tests all over the country over the next few weeks.
There is also a legal dispute going on in California where 112 000 voting ballots were mailed out in a voting district that only has 98 000 registers voters.

It is also worth noting that if the Courts cannot resolve who the clear election winner is that it will fall to a Special Commission of Congress to determine who will be President,no doubt much to Pelosi's delight.

Re: The US Hamster Wheel
Except I don't think it's as simple as just a majority in the House, so it's not quite that straightforward. The 2000 election was resolved not so much by the court's decision as by Gore's acceptance of that decision. I can't quite see Trump going quietly if the court tells him he's lost.Seenenough wrote: ↑Fri Jul 31, 2020 6:56 pmIt is also worth noting that if the Courts cannot resolve who the clear election winner is that it will fall to a Special Commission of Congress to determine who will be President,no doubt much to Pelosi's delight.

None the less, Gore did resort to the Courts to seek a ruling.llondel wrote: ↑Sat Aug 01, 2020 10:02 pmExcept I don't think it's as simple as just a majority in the House, so it's not quite that straightforward. I don't think that I have ever seen Hillary Clinton ever concede that she lost to Trump.Rather than challenge herself, she left it to the Democrat Party and the likes of Comey,Clapper and Brennan to try and get Trump out of office ,as the evidence now shows.
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
I think it was perfectly reasonable for Gore to seek a ruling under the circumstances. It is accepted that there can be errors in counts, so a recount when things are that close is a reasonable expectation.
Re: The US Hamster Wheel
There were Trumpers outside my local library doing voter registration today. I was disappointed that they didn't ask if I was registered to vote. I was planning to offer to register multiple times under multiple names and inform them that I intended to request multiple mail-in ballots.
I think that would have overloaded their circuits.

Just seen a wonderful take-off video of a Chump 'interview' by some 'look-alike' - got all the BS replies and missing tan over his ears. Quite believable.

So pleased that Trump rose to the occasion to give his opinion on the cause for the Beirut Blast. For a moment I thought he'd keep quiet, but no......
