No 2 son is struggling with two young kids both on 'home learning'. The school is trying hard and using Goggle Classroom to distribute lessons, but it is proving very difficult to operate 'at home'. 'Tech is naturally in short supply there, and GC will not run on one of the 'availables' (an oldish IPad - IOS 11 or higher needed) and he says GC also seems to 'mangle' any PDFs they send.
Anyone else with young kids in the sphere finding the same - and any answers?
Google Classroom - UK
Re: Google Classroom - UK
My daughter, junior year high school, (sorry, don't know UK equivalent) was issued a Google Chromebook last year during the first lockdown.
The school system integrates everything through the laptop.
Suggest Chromebook as they can be had for under $100. here.

Thanks PHX - I am aware of the Chromebook and I guess it will work fine with a Google product. Financially the 'lineage' are trying to make the existing stuff work
Re: Google Classroom - UK
I have been told that you should try to run it in a Chrome browser on the iPad.
Get the Classroom app.

Re: Google Classroom - UK
I run Chrome on my iPad. Only thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to block ads in Chrome.
Never see ads in Chrome on desktop thanks to blockers.
Any thoughts?

By sheer coincidence, Sproglette Senior just bought a refurbished Dell Inspiron with 1 TB, 8 gig RAM and keypad, mouse and 22.5 ins screen for just over 200 quid yesterday. She hopes to upgrade it to a gaming system. There's plenty of refurbished desktop deals out there.
