Trying to import CDs into iTunes.
iTunes does not see CD drive. iTunes Help says "run diagnostics" which says everything OK.
Help then says "close program, delete shortcuts and reopen from program list" When reopened the program sees the CD drive and allows songs to import. On completion stops seeing drive.
OS is Windows 7.

iTunes and PC not playing nice
Re: iTunes and PC not playing nice
It gets worse!
iTunes still not playing nice.
It can't see CD/DVD drive.
Uninstalled iTunes and when I went to reinstall it was told minimum system requirement Windows 10.
I am very happy running Win 7.
Any help?

Re: iTunes and PC not playing nice
350+ GB of music ripped into iTunes.
I just didn't want my music held hostage to force Win10 on me.
After uninstalling iTunes both Apple and Microsoft said I needed Win10. However while messing with this an Apple window popped up asking if I wanted to update iTunes. I said OK and iTunes was updated and miraculously reappeared, however with the same problem of having to quit and reopen the program to rip an additional CD.
Every time a CD is finished ripping, iTunes locks up.
