The MFC Petrie Dish Virtuoso (6000 pax...) was in the Solent at the weekend and was scheduled to dock at Greenock today. The canny weegies close the port to it!

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
It is mind-blowingly nuts that it is legal to travel to Scotland from England and Northern Ireland by car or train or coach or flight or even by ferry without any vaccination or testing, but not legal to travel to Scotland from elsewhere in the UK on a cruise ship with full vaccination and negative testing.
Our ghastly gumment really is a *****.
There is no decency or respect for people, nor is there any rational distinction between right and wrong. Only a craze for power and a weird racism/nationalism/tribalism (they're all the same thing) and a ruthless crushing of dissent.
Scotland is not fit to become a proper 'nation', nor would it be fit to be admitted to the commonwealth of nations known as the United Nations if it were ever to break away for the the United Kingdom.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
This is getting silly. So the SNP Government made a law on Thursday banning travel to Manchester etc from Monday. How on earth are they going to police that. If I were to leave my abode and drive to Manchester who is going to stop me, especially as I don't have a Scottish numberplate on my car. Issue travel advice by all means but making a non-enforceable law is a nonsense. Are the English police forces going to give their ANPR data to the Scottish police so they can correlate the two sets of data - I think not!
The helicopter pilots' mantra: If it hasn't gone wrong then it's just about to...

Now is she'd said Liverpool.......
Anyway, Old Trafford would be OK. How about Cheethan? That sounds a reasonable place or better Picaddilly perhaps.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
I think that in future years we'll all look back on that crazy Decree and recognise that it marks the Nictatorship's descent into madness.
She become increasingly imperious, just like Attila the Hen. I remember recognising that the Imperiatrix had gone completely bonkers when she scuttled across Downing Street to announce to the reporters "We are a grandmother".
Empress Krankie hasn't yet adopted the royal We yet, but it's clear that her absence of Opposition, either inside or outside der Partei, and absence of critical examination of her nonsenses in the Scottish MSM and her astonishingly tight control of the Courts system and her daily Partei Daily Political Broadcasts have all gone to her head.
Attempting to micromanage the lives of Scottish people and of others has become absurd in its extent. Expecting to dictate to travelers which towns and cities they may and may not visit outside the cluster of counties known as Scotland simply has no precedent either in Law or in History.
Quite apart from anything else, it contain no logic. Manchester has an infection rate of 130. Glasgow's rate is 162; Edinburgh's is 216; and Dundee's is 322. Shetland and Orkney, both of which have indicated a desire to secede from Scotland, have a rate of Zero. Is she going to prohibit travel between the Northern Isles and those three big cities?

I see Scotland's two senior lawyers are now female. That will sort out white male dominated justice.

There is no such place in Manchester, Greater or Smaller!Cheethan?
CHEETHAM is what you mean. That mis-spelling is nearly as big an insult as NicoKrankies ban.
At least the tartan army didn't have far to go on their exit from the Euro football.........and they can blame that on Krankie as well.

Well, after last night's result, she can concentrate on governing her bailiwick instead of watching football on the telly.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
The WHO definition of a pandemic being out of control is 50 per 100,000.
The different colour bands indicated the "level" (from 0 to 4, ie 5 levels) of each Council Area.
Can anybody here make any sense of that grading? I cannot.
East Lothian with an infection rate of 391 is on a lower 'level' than Stirling which has an infection rate of 91. How **** does that work in the tiny mind of the Fuehrin?
Clackmananshire with a rate of 163 is on a higher 'level' than West Dunbartonshire which has an infection rate of 253.
Yes, Dunbarton is actually spelled that way. Don't tell the dumb Californian negress or the father of her picaninny.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
A councillor who says he has been driven out of his home by criminals has claimed that Scotland risks becoming a “lawless society” as he steps back from politics following a campaign of intimidation that has left him “broken”.
Graeme Campbell, who lives in the South Lanarkshire town of Strathaven – best known for its hot air balloon festival – has been targeted by fire and acid attacks three times in the past three years, the latest one taking place last weekend.
The Conservative councillor is certain that the attacks were carried out by criminals as a result of work he was doing in his elected role, supporting constituents who have suffered similar acts of intimidation and violence.

Re: Chaos in Scotland.
When the Border Agency tried to go about their duties in Wee Nippy Sweetie's constituency they were met by a baying mob. The centrally controlled polizei, accountable personally to the First Minister now that democratically accountable local police authorities have been banned, went to the aid of the beleagured border people.
Sweetie's reaction was to order Politzei Schottland to intervene, not to disperse the mob but to spring the two arrested illegal immigrants who had been ordered to be deported by the Courts, and break them out of the Border Agency van and set them loose.
That's the type of government we have in Scotland.

Clearly all those who set foot on the beaches around Dover should be put on trains to Glasgow and Edinburgh then.Undried Plum wrote: ↑Mon Jun 28, 2021 7:42 amWhen the Border Agency tried to go about their duties in Wee Nippy Sweetie's constituency they were met by a baying mob.
