That has to be America.
'Yes, Madam, I am drunk, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly.' Sir Winston Churchill.
Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
Yes it does.
Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
John Hancock Center and Water Tower Place in Chicago. A pretty dreadful looking building in that setting, or anywhere else come to that.
Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
Correct om, all yours.
Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
Thank you, I am booked in here for a couple of days next month. The author Eric Newby spent part of his childhood in the house opposite the pub.
Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
Mason's Arms, Branscombe just west of Beer on the Devon coast I suspect. Nothing handy at present so have to say OH should I be correct.
Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
It is the Masons Arms, a nice pub and favorite destination. OH declared by DBx.

Completely different direction, but for fun I’ll accept the official name or it’s nickname
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Artnoon all.
Difficult to see any detail in the pic, but seems to have a very slender deck, so fairly modern?
Could it be the Istanbul bridge over the Bosphorus?

Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
That one went quickly, I had the first clue lined up, but no need, Capt Puggie has it in one.

Evening all.
UK is correct, but the wrong country, look you.

Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
It's the Foryd Bridge on the River Clwyd in Rhyl. The yacht club is down to the left of that picture. To the left is the harbour bridge, off to the right is the railway bridge.
I naively tried Dr Google with "Blue Bridge Wales" and it actually worked.

Re: The Capetonian WOE Thread
Morning all. Apologies, late on parade today.
Spot on, llondell, well done.
With a backdrop of the Clwydian Range hills, until 1974, the River Clwyd formed the boundary between the counties of Flintshire and Denbighshire, which were merged to form the new county of Clwyd. Sadly, when Clwyd was abolished in the 1990s gerrymandering, the old boundaries were not replaced and Rhyl, Prestatyn, and St. Asaph were moved into Denbighshire.
As llondell notes above, the pic shows the Foryd Bridge over the River Clwyd at Rhyl, with the rail bridge on the right, with Foryd Harbour and the Pont-y-Ddraig cycleway bridge on the left.
llondell has control.
