Morning folks. These booze bans are counterproductive. End the ban and everyone goes partying. No social distancing and spreading the virus. Booze cruises on the lagoon all weekend and met a couple at the safari camp who had moved out of town for the weekend because it was too noisy.
Nice weather getting into the high 30's.
Still have Internet probs with the new ground based system. They said last week that they were arranging for our top IT consultant in town to come out here. Unfortunately for them he is a good friend and knew nothing about it. He is on his way now paid for by them but it will cost us a few beers. No charge for this month and the satellite Internet folk just phoned and asked if we wanted to sell all our equipment. Magic.
Why is our lagoon full of water lilies now, after it dried up, when they weren't here before the drought?

An Antonov 22 passed over on Friday, heading towards Prestwick. As usual FR 24 had the origin and destination wrong, so I've no idea what it was doing. An AN 24 arrived at Liverpool on Friday and is staying until Wednesday apparently.

Mum & Dad had lunch here today...

A truly beautiful part of 'The Coast'!
And followed it up with a walk around to 'Froggys beach'
There are some still really really lovely parts of my home town...but it is too crowded now...

Greetings Gentlefolk,
27c guess 30c 54% humidad.
Overcast and keeps on trying to rain.
SM is visiting the GP and, judging by the time she is taking, she is getting a restock of books from the local charity shop.
Me fang fettler @ 15.30, I don't get the lovely Graciela this time she is on holiday, it's her nephew who seems competent.
Wimax TV playing up last couple of nights. I ring.

What is squeaky cheese? Mentioned on "Matts Recovery" last week so it's an American thing.
Found it! Made in a place in the Far North called "Yorkshire" it seems...

,,,but then again, back to Rainbow Bay....Grilled Barramundi dusted in lemon pepper seasoning with seasonable vegetables....No?....
Or for after an early surf....eggs benedict with smoked salmon?....yes indeed!

+1
When all else fails, read the instructions.

I believe that cheese requires significant quantities of salt (added to the curds) to complete the process.
Salt is very important in cheesemaking, for as well as helping add to the flavour of cheese, it also controls the bacteria that grow inside the cheese, helps with texture development, regulates moisture, and helps preserve the cheese as it ages.
a good rule of thumb is 1 teaspoon salt per half pound of soft cheese.

Up here the squeaky cheese is Grimbister
I don't like it, I prefer my cheese crumbly (Cheshire or Lancashire) or soft as in cottage cheese.

Morning, cheese eaters. Damp air back yet again. Floor creaky.
Trip to the foundry today. Always interesting. Not sure which weekday is Pouring Day, that's a sight.

I could normally beat that 'first snow' as Mt Canigou, 9000', visible from my terrace, occasionally gets a white dusting at any time, but not this dry year.
