I'd say they should talk to his wife and ask her to which alternative hospital she would like to transfer her husband in order to treat him with ivermectin.PHXPhlyer wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 12:21 amJudge orders Ohio hospital to treat Covid patient with ivermectin

A Ohio judge ordered a hospital to give the horse drug ivermectin to a Covid-19 patient last month despite the doctors’ protest.
The Butler County judge said in an Aug. 23 ruling that West Chester Hospital must fulfill the patient's wife's request and administer the drug prescribed to Jeffrey Smith, 51, by a doctor unaffiliated with the hospital.

I have no horse (if you excuse the obvious pun) in this race but facts need to be corrected.
Ivermectin is indeed used as horse medicine but it has been approved for human use for many, many years and has been used by literally millions of people with safety. The problem is that the human prescription grades of Ivermectin are not easily available so people fall back on using the animal supplies. Since its use is restricted under prescription there is no guidance about what dosage of the vet. compound is safe so people are left to make dangerous experiments. It would seem a wiser course to warn people about misuse but at least say that if you really insist on using it, as desperate people will, then here are the safe dosages. It should be noted that refugees into the US are presently dosed with Ivermectin by the US government to kill parasites as a matter of routine.
Interestingly, the wife of the man being treated with Ivermectin says his condition is improving although his doctors deny this. What has been established from medical records is that the oxygen ratio in his intubation has been reduced from 100% to 50% since the Ivermectin treatment commenced.
Considering that jabbing yourself with any filthy dope that you buy on a street corner to get high is quite accepted in the US it seems a little strange that people are prevented from using a safe, approved, medication, although it be for different purposes, in desperate circumstances such as near inevitable death.

Re: Coronabollocks..
After two and a half months the booze shops finally opened yesterday. Everyone was stocking up on supplies with trolleys overflowing with cases of beer, spirits and wine.
This morning on our walk three lorries with extra trailers containing booze passed us heading towards town. Guess all shops sold out yesterday and sent for new supplies.

Australian Gummint, bunch of @rse clowns, but never worry too much, a biased MSM will be along in no time to cover their backsides. Very very soon someone will come along and say 'Yeah, but the opposition would have been worse'.....a fruitless attempt to deflect the attention away from this utterly useless Gummint. Sure the oppo may or may not have been worse....but they don't have the controls...

Yes, too many people are buying the horse stuff and then failing to do the maths to arrive at a suitable human dose. Amusingly they look for the apple-flavoured stuff, according to someone I know who works at an animal supply store. They're clearly identifiable by the way they come in and hang around that particular aisle, looking for the correct flavour (usually out of stock or locked up safe) and ignore the big notice that was put up saying it's not for human consumption.boing wrote: ↑Tue Sep 07, 2021 4:17 amLlondel

The problem with a single data point is that he might have recovered without the ivermectin treatment - too many of these treatments are not studied under controlled conditions so there is no proof. Personally, if they want to stay at home and take it and avoid hospitals and all the science then great, it leaves the beds free for people with other ailments.
As for providing information to do something the government doesn't want you to do, have you ever known any government, of any political persuasion, to willingly help people go against their edicts?

Had required Day 2 PCR test last Friday in Southampton. Email supposed to arrive within 48 hours with result.
What a surprise, no email.
The whole testing fiasco in the UK is just a rip off and covid restrictions and news of it with proposed measures, spread by the media and SAGE members are clear attempts to control the public by spreading fear.

Re: Coronabollocks..
Ibbie, my daughter had a same day PCR pre-departure test at Boots with results within the hour. Naturally no result. She rang Boots who assured her the results were on the computer. An hour or so later still no results.
As things were getting tight she considered getting a second test at the port. However she rang her husband in Netherlands who rang Boots. Boots emailed him a screen shot. He emailed the screen shot to my daughter. There has been a problem emailing the results out!
On their previous trip out from Hull in July you could pay for an instant negative test. And I mean instant, just pay your money, get the certificate.

What a surpriseNew estimates from the Office for National Statistics that look at how many people experience specific symptoms* of Covid after a long time (rather than self-diagnosing long Covid) yield much lower figures for how many people might be suffering from this condition.
