Thanks for confirming that they have had 60+ years, 2 generations, to build a country they would be proud to raise a family in. What’s that, they didn’t do that you say? Must be the fault of the West then.

Doing the Strine thing of sending the buggers back where they belong is the short-term solution.

Re: Migrants
Nick, I was in India a few years ago and that was a topic there too. "we've been independent for 60 years and we still blame the British". The argument was that there problems were all of their own making.
Re: Migrants
I hope this time they will change Pomgolia to be a country they will be proud to raise a family in.

The Poms never stop moaning and are obviously the real victims.

Re: Migrants
I often wonder why nobody seems to say what the whole Country feels?
In summary;
"We are sorry for you, but we don't want you here".
It sounds a bit harsh, but it is true.

Oh John, what has happened in the past to make you such a bigot? Did an Englishman shag your favourite sheep?

Re: Migrants
Many legal immigrants have and are still trying to do that. Lots of them are in politics trying to change the country to what they believe is a better place. Some have good ideas, some don't, no different from the people whose family have been here for generations. That's the point - every citizen has the right to attempt to make change. You just need to legally apply for the right to come here and you are welcome to give it your best shot at change.

Sorry, I believe Earls Court is a long way from here and having never left NZ I do not know anything about the place.

Re: Migrants
Thank you for that, John Hill. How should they do that?is that countries of the rich west, UK and USA for example, should rebuild the broken countries where these migrants are coming from.
As far as I can tell, he has'nt! Hence the question above. ie how???Pinky. Can I ask you to tell us when John 'the museum' Hill's alter ego, 'Hill Kim Yohn' has given any sort of solution.

Re: Migrants
Pinky, that was rhetorical question.
Re: Migrants
It is indeed a gnarly question but considering the very considerable effort and expenditure devoted to destroying such countries it should be possible to work it out.Pinky the pilot wrote: ↑Tue Nov 30, 2021 10:01 amThank you for that, John Hill. I was told on this site that I have never been anywhere and who am I to argue?

Re: Migrants
John, given the above (I was told on this site that I have never been anywhere and who am I to argue?) then why do you argue when you were told you were an idiot.
Re: Migrants
I do not recall anyone calling me an idiot on here. I admit I have a poor memory for trivia.

Re: Migrants
In a way which I think neither John Hill nor Nick Riviera recognise, they are both right. They are blind to eachother's viewpoint, but they are both looking at the same problem/solution from opposite directions.
Lemme explain. Naw, let this guy explain instead. He knows so much more about it, and is so much better at explaining it, that I'll let him show you, with numerous actual real world examples.
So you see, shithole lands can be made better, but only by and with the co-operation of the inhabitants who turned the land to ****. Outsiders, such as The Empire and its poodles like Britain, can help by not making things worse.
Stop bombing those shithole countries, ferfuxake. We could never make Libya or Syria or Iraq or Yemen or Afghanistan better places for the gollywogs to live in by bombing them. Why did we ever think we could do that? Why did we ever think there'd be no splashback?
Mr Liu, above, shows a better way.

Re: Migrants
This is my take on John's thoughts of building back the country's we have supposedly turned into hell holes.
In 2020, Britain spent 14.5 billion pounds ($20.18 billion) on aid,In 2020, the U.S. gave around $35 billion in aid,Germany $30 billion,France $ 14.1 billion aid in2020.The above was the result nof a quick giggle search on the ammount of foreign aid given to developing countries, this is not a full list but gives some idea
of how much is given. The only problen is, that history has shown that not a lot of the money goes to improving the living standards to those it was intended for, but ends up being squirreled of to the Swiss bank account of some corrupt politicians. So until aid takes another form, I dont believe that giving money to thieving/corrupt officials will improve the lives of those that require it most.
