Let alone that you need to make sure the subsidiary daughter company whatever you call it needs be based on solid commercial grounds (and eventually make it a strong competitor earning more contracts) rather just to serve the main group.
Regarding airports you can still work some deals using their commercial policies (and the fact that the established carriers can't stop flying there) but yes there can been trouble

When it comes to airlines, I tend to agree.
Although I can understand from the articles that Amazon is really peed off at the lack of service / bottle necks.

However I see they want to become a shipping company for others. But they they will face bottle necks during holidays as well.

Well Amazon certainly have the need for a good logistics outfit and that, of course, includes aircraft but why would Amazon expect to be any more efficient than the big players like FedEx, DHL and the like...?
Still it is a cut throat market with wafer thin profit margins and the entry of a player like Amazon might just push those margins down in to negative territory which is exactly what outfits like Amazon do to undermine their competitors before they achieve market share and dominance and then up pop those prices and with their global warehousing and IT technology reach Amazon may just have the nous to crack this market.
