On UK NHS Site
"You can take a manmade version of melatonin for short-term sleep problems (insomnia). It makes you fall asleep quicker and less likely to wake up during the night. It can also help with symptoms of jetlag.
Melatonin is used to treat sleep problems in people aged 55 and over.
It can sometimes be prescribed to help with sleep problems in children and to prevent headaches in adults.
Melatonin is available on prescription only. It comes as slow-release tablets and a liquid that you drink."

Re: A Good Nights Sleep...
I had eluded to that earlier---we buy it off the shelf here, they even have kids gummie versions. Not sure what the NHS is worried about, it is non-addictive also, and you cannot OD on it...just like if you take too many vitamins, the body just flushes out the excess.Pontius Navigator wrote: ↑Tue Mar 22, 2022 9:20 am

Life may not be the party you hoped for, but while you're here, you may as well dance.

Re: A Good Nights Sleep...
I got a free eyeshield on our flight home and used it last two nights. Worked well. Last night I only put it on near dawn and then slept though to gone 8, a good 90 minutes later than normal.
Re: A Good Nights Sleep...
I sometimes get a good night's sleep. Other nights, one of the dogs decides it's time to go out and pee at 3am. Sometimes it's two. If I'm really unlucky, the second waits until I'm back in bed and just fallen asleep before waking me up again. Kepler has been doing 4am calls the past few days, but she's got a tummy upset and getting up at 4am is preferable to having to clean the bathroom floor (she does at least go in there to do it).

A cheese fondue interrupted my other wise string of Good Nights. I'm getting too old for exotic meals.

Same here but only one dog.llondel wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 5:00 amI sometimes get a good night's sleep. Other nights, one of the dogs decides it's time to go out and pee at 3am. Sometimes it's two. She makes up for being lone dog by wanting to go out multiple times.

Ilondel, we are blessed with Scotties with iron bladders. 14 hours straight is not unusual and then because the present one is sent out and told to wee. 10pm she curls up in her scratcher and that's it until at least after breakfast.

Re: A Good Nights Sleep-ish...
I reckon my Mifit5 tells porkies. It claims that I have naps quite often but when I look at the times listed in detail, I've been watching TV or, on one occasion, cooking the evening meal. So how accurate are my steps per day? DILLIGAF?
Is a later version going to be any better??

Re: A Good Nights Sleep...
Mine is a 6, I think.
It has only registered one nap in all the time I've had it.
If I am lying in bed watching TV it shows me asleep.

I am not sure which version registers naps and not just night sleep.
