Every species wants to mate with someone of their own species, breed, size, build, characteristics, and traits.
I refute that statement. Example: Jeremy Corbyn and Dianne Abbott.

Thank God there's someone here who knows what he's talking about concerning ducks and geese or the Royal Family. Obviously no one else does, they just have 'opinions'.Undried Plum wrote: ↑Wed Mar 09, 2022 7:35 pmEver heard of the Duck Test?
You really don't need a DNA test to tell the difference between a duck and a goose if you know what you're talking about. It's not a matter of 'opinion'.

If it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it's not a goose.

I've had two different people, some years apart, tell me I resemble Princess Anne.
I regard myself as a swan.

I look a little like John Alderton the actor and at other times a little like a younger Paul McCartney. Maybe we're brothers and we can be reunited and I can get my hands on some royalties.
A restaurant told me about the Alderton resemblance - maybe I can cadge a free meal if Fleur's Place ever re-opens!
Hey Karearea - didn't Prince Philip visit New Zealand a few times? There's positive proof for you.
I only met her once when she was about 20 -

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
Yes, I can see the John Alderton resemblance, FD2! Mrs C16 has in the past been mistaken for Lorraine Kelly - both are Glaswegian, similar looks, accent and hair style. Maybe Kelly is her rumoured long lost under the covers step sister. After all if she looks like Mrs C16 and sounds like Mrs C16 she must be related to Mrs C16. I read somewhere that those coincidences are irrefutable proof……

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
Most babies look like Winston Churchill and Anne looks like a horse, but I don't think that Seen's theory holds much water.
Anne resembles her father Philip, but that's a bit ambiguous 'cos the German tribe are so terribly inbred.
Her parents were cousins, don't you know. Her parents were both great-grandchildren of Frau Saxe-Coburg und Gotha. She inherited her chinlessness from Victoria from both side of her parentage as a form of distilling of genes.
Though, it was once said by someone or other, of her, Anne, that if it eats hay and farts she'd train it.

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
A friend once flew a Royal Flight ( pre. Ex-Ascot ? ) and HRH Prince P. spent a bit of time on the flight deck at the end of which he was asked if H.M. would like to visit ? No, he said, but mind you - if it ate hay and farted she'd be up here like a shot..... that if it eats hay and farts....
Re: Andrew to the Tower?
HMQ chose to have Andrew escort her into Philip's memorial service. A significant event and one assumes she wishes to re-habilitate him.
Wise or not?

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
I think it was family over other considerations. She could hardly relegate one of her sons (awful though he is) to a seat at the back at what may turn out to be her last public appearance. (And at a memorial service to her husband and his father) It might have been better if Charles had escorted her though, rather than allowing Andrew any limelight. Sadly she seems to have aged very rapidly over the last few months.
I think the one who deserves lots of egg on his face is the ginger twerp in Los Angeles who had been forbidden to attend by SWMBO. He would jump at any excuse, because I have no doubt he'd have received a very cold reception from his former family.

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
Royal rumours indicate that HRH PC and HRH PW were not amused to put it mildly. It was they who apparently persuaded HMQ to take the HRH off PA. HMQ put her foot down on this one. PA is staying at Windsor so it was logical for him to escort her from there. That would have been the argument put forward.
I thought that they were going to chopper HMQ from Windsor to Buck House to shorten the road journey. If they had done that it would have been easy for HRH PC to escort her from there. Perhaps that is why HMQ decided to drive. Or perhaps it was because the decision for her to attend was only made 2 hours before the event and they didn't want a chopper sitting at Windsor.
Edit: They could have had the chopper on standby to fly in when the decision was made, Checks up to engine start. We used to do that for backups for Royal Flights on the 10.

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
This appears to be what happened. He was supposed to hand HMQ over to the Dean at the door and walk behind but he refused. If this is correct he has really dug himself in now. Iriot. Love to have been a fly on the wall of the car going back to Windsor.

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
Andrew, the grifter that keeps on grifting or at least gifting stories of his bad judgement to the press!
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/202 ... court-casePrince Andrew is facing calls to explain why he received £1m in payments linked to a financier who is now facing allegations of fraud in the high court.
The Duke of York, who is already embroiled in controversy after settling a US sexual assault case for up to £12m, is named alongside his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, in a ruling on a dispute between a Turkish woman and businessman.
In 2019, Andrew received £750,000 from Nebahat Isbilen, a Turkish millionaire and wife of a former leading politician, who has claimed in the high court that she was told by her financial adviser Selman Turk to pay the sum to the prince in return for assistance with a passport application.

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
One thinks that HMQ is fully supporting Prince Andrew. At the end of the day HMQ is the boss.

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
Amazing parties they must have, at Windsor Castle:
"Prince Andrew had known an alleged fraudster for at least six months before receiving more than £1m in disputed payments from the man, it has been reported.
The Duke of York was introduced to Selman Turk via a mutual contact, Tarek Kaituni, a Libyan-born convicted gun smuggler, in May or June 2019 at Windsor Castle, and held subsequent meetings, the Sunday Telegraph reports.
Turk received an award from Andrew at a Pitch@Palace event – a Dragons’ Den-style project for entrepreneurs created by the duke – in November 2019."

Re: Andrew to the Tower?
The good peasants of the City of York have voted to deny Randy Andy the freedom of that lovely city.
Do I hear sighs of relief amongst the younger fairer sex who are resident/studying there?
There is no Tower in York but there is an original ‘keep’ which might be employed to restrain him should he ever venture that far north.
