America's erstwhile friends are set for a come-back in Afghanistan.

The English lost three wars with Afghanistan and wisely stayed away ever since. Our losses were tremendous.

No I do not!, just find it odd that these people look to the west for $$$$, and not ask those closest of their religion / culture to provide for them,...just a curious little oddity really .... or perhaps they have requested aid and have been told to f off and ask the west??? In any case their 'bretheren' are reluctant to provide the aid they seem to demand of the west

Are you sure about that? https://english.alarabiya.net/News/gulf ... -150-lives

Airdropping millions of dollars doesn't provide real aid.

Real aid is brought to a disaster zone by C-17s and A400Ms and by Merlin helicopters to distribute the aid to remote regions. Real aid is brought by flying in and staffing and running RAF Medical Branch field hospitals.

The RAF has plenty of those. Where are they?

When the strategy was to dominate or slaughter Afghans, there was air support galore. Where is it now? Shuttling hundreds of tonnes of weaponry into Ukraine to fight Russia?

Dollars or trucks, the assertions of the man from the land of banana benders claimed Muslim countries were not providing aid to A'stan.

Talibans hate the West but love dollars, Euros, medical supplies and food stuff from the West. Not really a decent balanced approach. I am wondering how they would behave is assistance was delivered by all female crews dressed in summer light clothing.

"Talibans"? Whatever, that is not a criticism I often see levelled at Talebs.

JH thanks for pointing out the mistake - the comment still stands about the current theocratic government of Afghanistan which few months ago kicked out the previous one.

A very lightweight comment in my view.

And still no sign of RAF or other NATO countries flying in humanitarian aid.

Why should they? Humanitarian aid to friendly or neutral nations, yes. To hostiles, no.

A somewhat confused definition of humanitarian aid, OFSO.

Humanitarian aid is for humans, not just for slaves or servants.

Anyway, in what way are the victims and survivors of an earthquake "hostiles"?

How on Earth do make such a judgement?

Article V of the NATO convention was maliciously triggered by The Empire despite the fact that absolutely zero evidence was ever adduced that so much as one single Afghan was involved in 9/11.

Even if you subscribe to the notion that an entire nation should be punished forever for the sin of one single individual, don't you think that the concept of collective punishment is a bit stinky?

The victims of an earthquake need help. We can provide such help, so why don't we do so? Politics? Religion? Superstition?

You are just right: your view hence no need to answer. In my view you can't dislike people but like their money/ help.

The people of Afghanistan have very little money so feel free to dislike them although I do not understand why you would want to do that.
