Les Coqs Bleus 'ave triumphed. ;))) Bad luck Bokke. :(

Meanwhile the Kiwi ladies have won the women's rugby world cup. Great game and I'm now a fan of the women's game. They played to a great pace right to the end with great skill during a fast, open game. Well done ladies. I guess they're not slowed down by the huge over-muscled torsos that the rugby men have these days. :ymdevil: England hampered by a red card early in the game. Naturally the ref has been criticised for being a biased Scot. :-?

Don’t think that this would work in Joburg after last night X(

Wayne Barnes. SA's least favourite ref.

Come on Scotland.

Stirring stuff what with the pipes and to see those well-known Scottish names like van der Merwe and Schoeman in the lineup. =))

Good to see Doddie Weir at the game.

Scotland are going to have to pull something special out of the bag to defeat the All Blacks today. Try and the All Blacks are on fire.

Sadly it looks as if victory has slipped through Scotland's fingers. Not one of the best perfomances from the All Blacks today, they were very error prone at times, but as ever they stepped up to the mark when it mattered.

Amazing! Well done Italy. That's Japan, Argentina and now Italy, after proper coaching they are playing as teams rather than 15 individuals! The RWC is beginning to look very interesting!

Come on Bokke. Italy looking fit and ready. Might be a good game in Florence.

Early try for SA but Italy strikes back. Ange Capuozzo is a genius with the bal.,

I think Beauden Barrett might get a bit of stick for that yellow card! Even honours then. Glad the ABs didn't lose as we would never have heard the end of it! ;)))

Scotland thump the Poomas (as they are called here) 52 - 29. Report seems to indicate Pumas went back to 15 individuals playing and one red card. X(

Australia triumph in Rugby League finals - Blokes 30 - 10 v Samoa and Sheilas 54 - 4 v New Zealand.

The Pumas had Marcos Kremer red-carded in the first half and then received three yellow cards after the break, leaving them with 12 men at one point, while Scotland also had two players (including their Captain) sin-binned in the closing quarter.

Couple of good punch ups mind, and the Argentinians scored when 3 men down

I don't think that I have ever seen an international where one side was down to 12 men before. I guess it has happened in the past, but I don't know when.

The Ireland Australia match was also a scrappy affair. A bit like watching a F2 race when you expected F1. Neither team was inspiring.

Watching the France Japan game out of the corner of my eye, and my better half has just opined, "they don't look Japanese do they, except for the one that kicked the ball through the big H, he looked vaguely Japanese?", noticing some of the Japanese resident foreigners playing for Japan!

She then started humming this song... Women! =))

Turning Japanese!

She is now watching the game, supporting the Japanese but making admiring comments about the French accents! Almost as bad as the time I took her to Dublin to watch the Sprngboks play the Irish, where she fell asleep halfway through the game, much to the amusement of the Irish folks sitting near us.

French 35-17 win against a tenacious Japanese side.

The French are looking ominously good at the moment.

You’d better not tell her the origin of the track =))

One of the more misinterpreted songs of all time, word was that "Turning Japanese" refers to the Asian facial features people get at the moment of climax during masturbation. In a VH1 True Spin special, they asked The Vapors about this song, and they explained that it is a love song about someone who lost their girlfriend and was going slowly crazy. Lead singer Dave Fenton said: "Turning Japanese is all the clichés about angst and youth and turning into something you didn't expect to."
You did ask :D
