Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
A so called storm created by the media. Not worth the paper/printing ink and airtime it has received/used or continues to.
It also occurs to me that the Palace incident about origin, similarly, was a set up.
Move on.

They were going to pull something to try to overshadow the USA visit of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Purely coincidental, the timing, eh? Certainly not helping.
Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
It seems that some who are not of pure-bred white English heritage undertake a 'persecuted' stance and spend their life pushing the point of their 'slave' background - however remote.

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
There are probably very few pure bred English people. My grand parents and great grandparents were English but my DNA analysis showed 57% English, 27% Scandinavian, 11% Irish and the remainder showed traces from Croatia, Morocco an Nigeria.
Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
The whole thing is just unfortunate. The LiW (maybe too many Amontillados?) was obviously intent on getting the woman to say she was of an immigrant family, presumably because she was obviously not one of G-CPTN's 'pure-bred 'English' stock (did he mean British?). The reported act of moving the woman's hair aside to read her name tag is not acceptable. Repeated pushing about 'where do you REALLY come from' are unacceptable and she should have known much better. Time to go, and she has gone. A sad end to a career spent in a very isolated environment. Hopefully William's swift and decisive statement can mend the damage.

Unfortunately, there appears to be a developing trend of the 'victim' actually being the 'aggressor' in order to further their own agenda - H&M (to keep it on topic) are very much in that category.
I don't want to be banned ( having just paid me subs), so I won't express my true feelings about this, IMHO, contrived situation.

Don't be frightened. Do you really think you would be 'banned'? Are they that bad? Give it a go and if it is treasonous I will only remove it and let you know.so I won't express my true feelings about this, IMHO, contrived situation.

HMK and HRH PoW were to fast to react to this. If it hadn't been for the white so called NR stirring things up over this issue nothing would ever have happened.

Is Ms Fulani a fake??? There is a suggestion that her given name is Marlene Headley.

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Other sources suggest she 'adopted' a Nigerian name for effect.

Was that it? If so, relax those sphincter muscles.4ma wrote:Is Ms Fulani a fake??? There is a suggestion that her given name is Marlene Headley.
Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
A lot of people are getting over-heated on this. An undoubtedly kind and long-serving lady (but past her 'best before' obviously) behaved inappropriately to a guest of the Palace. She resigned. Forget the deeds or misdeeds of the 'guest'. The damage to the 'modern' monarchy is done. The LiW should have known better, and has played straight into the hands of H&M.
I am as Royalist as they come, but just as with the way the 'Palace' handled the death of Princess Di, this is another example of the need for it now to get into the 21st Century. William and Kate are there (Andrew certainly was... ), the wrinkled 'advisors' are not, and I don't think Charles is either.

There is also the case that her assumed name was tribal oppressor of her assumed tribe. Bit like Campbells and Scots.

FWIW; There have been reports in the Aussie Meeja that the dress/outfit that worn by the greviously offended NR person actually did not represent any African/Carribean/Wherever culture at all!
I have NFI, so I leave it to those who may know.

Re: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex
Back to the star-crossed lovers. One hears that scenes in the Netflix documentary supposedly showing paparazzi harassment of Harry and Meghan were in fact lifted from news videos showing paparazzi harassment of Katie Price and other personalities. Cutting back and forth makes it seem like Everyone's Favourite Royal Couple (or not) were the victims.
