Not a bad performance by the Bokke, but I worry that our kickers seem to have lost their mojo!
Handre Pollard is almost certain to be called up as a replacement for Marx, could be important later :-bd

England/Japan sounded like a rather messy game at times till the winners started galumphing to victory.

Worst game of the tournament so far , don’t think any of the top teams will be worried.

The next meeting of the Ops-Normal cackhanders society will take place at https://www.greeneking.co.uk/pubs/great ... UC_pubpage on Saturday 23rd September from 18.00 and we might watch some rugby as well.

Following Italy/Uruguay at the moment, the score has turned completely around since I began listening!

One of the best players in the World at the moment, interesting to see how the French team react.
France captain Antoine Dupont is having tests after suffering a suspected fractured jaw during the hosts' record 96-0 win against Namibia.

Dupont, 26, left the pitch in the 46th minute after Johan Deysel made a head-on-head tackle and was sent off.

Scrum-half Dupont, who had earlier scored one of France's 14 tries, went off holding his right cheekbone.

"There's a suspicion of a crack or fracture in his jaw. He's gone for tests," head coach Fabien Galthie said.

Never has a 96 0 victory been so costly for a leading contender for the World Cup.

One hopes that this evening's SA Ireland game will prove costly in the nicest, and fairest possible points, way for the Irish tonight. Given that the Woody/UHL craic is going down in an Irish bar, I suppose, at the very least, the evening might prove costly in monetary and headache terms as well.

I am lucky, I live at the end of the line. Just got to get out of the station and get a taxi... (well that's the theory anyway)... =))

For the want of a kicker, the match was lost. The Irish deserved to win...

Ah the wages of sin, like the very bibulous journalist Graham Mason whose obituary I admire.
At lunchtime he would walk through the door of the Coach and Horses still trembling with hangover, his nose and ears blue whatever the weather. On one cold day he complained of the noise that the snow made as it landed on his bald head.
