Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Wot's for Tea, Ma?
Am sat here at Castle Crun in front of a roaring log fire toasting hand-made crumpets and spreading them with gorgeous creamy local butter. Yummy!

Here in Bradley Stoke it's BBQ ribs from Aldi (I recommend them) creamy cole slaw and curly wurly oven chips, not exactly healthy but nice to eat once in a while.

We have two establishments here trained so that after, usually quite a late, lunch we ask for two afternoon teas. They know to deliver two large G&Ts.

Gin
Ibbie, very bad planning. Our nearest booze shop is 50 km away. Not been unknown though for a 100 km round trip for emergency supplies.

Spag Bol at Groundgripper Towers this lunchtime as well, Woody. Can't be bothered to think of anything more original - I have some fettling to do this afternoon and might just investigate the new pressure sprayer I bought this morning.

Nein... Schinken.
Diced ham, olive loaf, fleischkase, Italian salami, cervelat, mortadella and a few other cold meats lobbed in a bowl with chopped onion, capers, diced cheese, mustard and mayo. Mix well and stuff a fresh baguette with the result.

Re: Wot's for Tea, Ma?
With August Bank Holiday approaching the shopping for provisions is underway, finding that the lifting of beer crates at Tesco is becoming tedious, ( we are not getting any younger) I adventured into the internet. After long research I tried the following and can recommend to those living in the UK.
https://www.classicales.co.uk/
Next day delivery, exactly as advertised, I received a mixed selection of 36 500ml bottles of interesting beers, (for less than a Ryanair ticket to Moscow), all with instructions for the better drinking experience, now I need to buy the necessary quails eggs, meat puddings and so on that are recommended accompaniments.
