He's not allowed to snuff it. He's one of our fixtures, a life member no less.

You are all being cruel to me. Can't watch the video on 3G. Can't see the Queen of the Skies

Re: BOAC
The video is BOAC landing at Lusaka Airport. It looks like someone's home video posted on FB so the link will not convert unless you are on FB.

Re: BOAC
Thank you FL for the '10' fix. Prefered our colour scheme though.

It was the BOAC Standard VC10 landing at Lusaka in 1968 and EAA VC10 on the apron.

Re: BOAC
It used to be a weekly family Sunday afternoon outing to go to Ndola airport, sit on our car bonnet (Zephyr Zodiac for 5 kids) outside the perimeter, to watch the VC10 land. All for free. Simple pleasures. Haha! You try tell the kids to do that today.

Re: BOAC
Had to get the log books out. My last flight with 806: Brize-Bruggen-Split-Bruggen-Brize 18/08/93. Flew it often in the Gulf War. Was not one of our Royal/VIP airframes.
