Overcast. A departing BA to Gibraltar just went over, signalling a change in the wind direction.

We have been given a 'new' second hand TV, Samsung, curved screen, to replace our former LG TV, which is perfect but smaller. No idea what to do with the old one. If anyone living near Teddington wants it for a spare/guest room/teenagers room, it's yours.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
Greetings,
21°c, 24°c predicted by the soothsayer.
Calima, still apparent but dissipating, I can see over Malaga bay this morning.
Hazy but the shapes are there.
Amazes me how little tasks build over the weekend, this morning is bedding, and down the shops. Supermarket, Chemist, Chinese everything shop and possibly Bank, all before Siesta. Only the Supermarkets being open all day.
Hey ho off we go ………...

Jackdaws have started to build nest under solar panels again.

When we had solar panels installed last year they came with wire fencing to prevent birds accessing under the panels. Might be worth thinking about that, there seem to be a few different systems available on line.

Yes thanks for that GG, I have seen the fencing. Our panels have been on the roof since 2014, and this is the first time jackdaws have tried to nest underneath. Unfortunately we would need a cherry picker to access around the panels.Groundgripper wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 2:10 pmWhen we had solar panels installed last year they came with wire fencing to prevent birds accessing under the panels. Yes Wodrick, even here in the Blessed Sanctuary on the Thames, one has to shop and change the bed linen. Perhaps there is a negro spiritual saying how these tasks are lifted from our shoulders in the afterlife.....

We have had solar panels for six or seven years but have never had the problem of bird trouble. Not yet !! Been a nice day on the Humber 15C, was made to go for a walk and the tide was a long long way out must be spring tides.Did get a very nice bacon sandwich though, made nicer by the fact that I forgot my wallet and herself picked up the tab. The kids are still on Easter hols so loads of trippers still about. Some nutter had been buried up to his neck in the sand, they had about five hours to get him out as he was below the HW mark..

Starting to have a late afternoon feel to the light level, even though it's only 4pm. About 15% coverage of the Sun at present. Skies remain mostly clear.
There were an awful lot of visitors around when we popped out for some milk earlier, more than Summer.
Champers in the fridge, dip made up for the prawns. I shall have to live to 116 if I am to see another total eclipse here.

You don’t allow TB computer access so she can post for herself?

Greeting PP! TB here. My photos were better than his so I passed them on. Having said that, I did get the credit for the iPhone pics which sadly didn't show the diamond ring effect. The camera always goes for the light no matter how I fiddle with the settings.

CH-47 just went over. Made the crowns in my teeth rattle.

Your profile said “last active” Sept. 20, 2023 which I took to mean a post but your last post was something like three years prior to that.Fox3WheresMyBanana wrote: ↑Mon Apr 08, 2024 9:25 pmGreeting PP! Good morning all, fair bit of cloud this morning, with patches of blue. Currently 19C, forecast max 22C.
