Re: Rugby
Usual booing from the stormers fans when the Bulls run on to the field at Newlands. Low budget unmannered toilets. That's not what rugby is about.
I suppose one could hardly expect the fans to have any class when the team they support has none.

Re: Rugby
I remember after the World Cup Final in 2003, we used to do the baggage handling for Qantas and after the final carefully decorated the inside of several baggage containers with the souvenir pull outs that the papers printed, apparently the complaint got to quite a senior level, because we all know how well they take defeat.

I understand the sentiment, but I do believe that it should read:
Another victory against the Wallabies today, in Sydney.
I cannot remember the last time England won a Rugby Test in Sydney.
But I do know who made the steel and built their bridge.

Re: Rugby
Surprised that we’ve had no comments about this
England lost their fifth Test match in a row as South Africa wrapped up the series 2-0 with one match to play.
The tourists once again started well and raced into a 12-0 lead with Mike Brown and Jonny May scoring fine tries.
The Boks fought back as a Duane Vermeulen try and Handre Pollard's boot gave them a one-point lead at the break.
A penalty try saw the hosts stretch well clear and they kept England scoreless in the second half.
It is the first time since 2014 they have lost five in a row - a sequence that saw them beaten four times by New Zealand and once by South Africa.
The final Test of the series takes place next Saturday in Cape Town.
When all else fails, read the instructions.

Re: Rugby
Did you hear about the incoming foreigner who at Jan Smuts missed his connecting flight to Port Elizabeth, as it was never announced over the PA system?
He sued, and won his case.
An investigation discovered that the 'announcer' had announced the boarding and gate closing of the SAA flight to 'Pee Eee'!

We always fancied a long weekend staying here and pigging out on prawns.
Did you know that the Ali Khan and Rita Hayworth stayed there on their honymoon?

Re: Rugby
Good baa baa's game with the Welsh today in Cardiff. Played with the usual brio of such matches and Wales won thereby beating Warren Gatland's Barbarians and the Welsh crowd giving him a wonderful ovation and send off as their old coach. Had to wipe a tear away. Good start for Wale's new coach, Kiwi Wayne Pivac!
