Re: Friday Jokes
In England you cut your toast into fingers to dip in your egg, these are known as soldiers.

pp - It was a childhood thing to get infants to eat a boiled egg but lots of us still do it. Give it a go and dip the strip of toast into the runny yolk of a soft boiled egg. You may like a little salt with it too.
Re: Friday Jokes

Re: Friday Jokes
Soft boiled egg chopped up with fresh ripe avocado and bit of salt, served on top of toast. Very Yummy.

Might be a British thing. Does America do eggy soldiers? Thin strip of toast that you dip in the yolk of a soft-boiled egg.

Re: Friday Jokes
I have solved my egg situation by only buying liquid eggs.
Just pour from the carton into my microwave omelet maker, add some veggies and cheese, and in less than 3 minutes...good eatin'.

Re: Friday Jokes
My earliest recollection of eggs is of a soft-boiled egg turned-out of its shell and mashed-up with a fork and called chuckelorum.
I don't know whether this was done to overcome earlier refusal or simply to aid digestion.

I thought all eggs were liquid until you break and cook them. Haven't had powdered eggs since the air force sixty years ago.

These are pre-beaten and come in a container like a paper milk carton.

Re: Friday Jokes
Couple of years ago a friend gave us some eggs from his hens that run lose round his estate. Delicious. No comparison with shop eggs.
