Don’t want a “ nice guy “ , want someone who knows how to win Test Matches

Re: Cricket
Incredible day's cricket - the crowd certainly struck lucky with the free entry day.
What an advert for the five-day game.

Re: Cricket
England score a comfortable 498 in the ODI being played in Amsterdam. The cloggies played like they had just had a session in one of them "speshul" cafes.

Re: Cricket
Reminds me of the games I played too!
Two or three big boundaries any old how, then the bowler would work out I knew naff about the game and bowl something clever.
I half-expected to see Rooty reach behind the stumps for a sup on his pint after that, a la village cricket.

Not trying to put mockers on the day, but 378 would be England’s highest ever run chase

Re: Cricket
Wow!! What a match! The future for the 5-day game is very rosy if they can keep producing matches like this one. In the end, the record run chase was a stroll in the park.

I think the essence of a good Test is that the prospective winner changes at least twice.

England well and truly thumped. Painful to watch England's inept batting against India's superlative bowling.

Re: Cricket
Cracking day watching the T20 Blast finals. Winners ( Hampshire) had to go to the final ball of the day to gain their win.
ODI versus India just about to start - comfy chair in position in front of the telly.

Re: Cricket
Lancashire were robbed.
Poor umpiring at the end and inadequate laws allowed Hampshire to be called winners.
Ruined what had been a superb day's cricket.
