Morning folks.

Pleasant sunny day hereabouts. Mrs 4ma must be improving, she's given me a list of jobs to do.

OK it's not nice, we have an annual injection as it is marginally cheaper than the monthly tablet.

Most interesting. Another reason for killing mosquitoes. We have the tiger mosquito here. A fair size.

It even sounds like the real deal. :)

Nice and warm today here in Blighty. 17km off road bike ride followed by an outdoor gym sesh. Feeling it now. :)

Quite a good day today. Started off by changing the cassette on the kitchen tap without causing damage to the plumbing or, more importantly, myself, although I got the local plumbing supplier searching through his archive shelf to find the right model - now considered ancient and obsolete at 14 years old. I then cut the front and side grass, a light trim just to get rid of the long shoots of wild grasses whilst not touching the new shoots just emerging in a generally parched landscape, and finally treated myself to a haircut to look reasonably civilised and sane when on holiday starting next Friday, although I got almost half-way home before realising that I had left my hat in the barbers and had to walk back for it.
The post brought two identical envelopes (WHY?) from DVLA for SM, each containing an identical reminder that her car needed re-taxing at the end of the month. Being forward thinking, I attempted to do this but was foiled as we do not yet have an MoT for the car which is 3 years old on July 30th. The car is scheduled for service and MoT on Monday so I will try again later in the week when I have a refernce number.
More importantly, the post also brought me a rather nice gold kestrel lapel pin for having been a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society for 50 years. SM was impressed with the fact that my name will now be in the next edition of Aerospace, the RAeS Magazine, until I explained that it will probably be next to the lists of Members newly enrolled, upgraded or, more relevantly, recently deceased.

A very flat landing, but probably, as you say contrived, with expert timing to ensure no G&T's were spilled or otherwise adversely stirred in any way.

No doubt Ex-Ascot will adjudicate and may give us some deeper insight into these matters tomorrow.

Mornall, a beautiful cloudless sky is on show, but the reader of the chicken entrails has declared that the severe cold front approaching will bring with it
winds of sufficient strength to blow a dog off a chain, the wind is expected to reach 50k with gusts to reach 60k-70k. I don't think I will hang out the
washing as I don't fancy chasing it all over the neighbourhood.

Evening all, good day at the dog show. Up near the coast at Ferndale, so it's cloudy and 10-15C. Cassini had his first big boy show and performed well, despite a nearby pneumatic drill. Faraday got an owner handled group 4 placement, and added to her FastCAT score.

^ well done, those dogs.

Reminds me of the time I drove, accompanying DD2 leading her horse to her new address, and we had to pass a Horse-Eating Tiger potato harvester. X_X

Luckily horsey didn't go to pieces over it.

Thunderstorm mini before midnight and another after, small little rain. Then gale about one am as I was putting the washing in. 20° now, calm and clear. Going to be a hot one.
