D1, D2 & Granddaughter have gone to have their photos taken sitting on Santa's knee. Lucky Santa. Not all at once, I hope.

Awake all night after foolishly eating a slice of pork pie far too late (can't deal with pastry in the evening) washed down with an espresso Martini. Caffeine normally has no effect on me but this did.

Very warm on The Humber for the time of the year 14C,and feels like it, quite clear with good vis but blowing a hoolie from the west. Mrs 1DC made it to 80 today and looks pretty good on it, one of her cousins has sent her an expensive bottle of rose champagne, that will be opened when we get together with the family. I have some cheaper versions to follow up with!

G'day,
Dome but pretty much the same as the banks of the Humber, just 15c, guess is 18c.
Track resurface (from dirt to concrete) starts on Tuesday, be confined to quarters for at least two days.
Seasons Greetings to All.

Good morning on Christmas Day. Cloudy mild and humid (sounds like Auckland weather) 20°C and birdies singing.

Christmas Day has dawned with a cloudy dome and the promise of a showery day to follow, a possible storm is also on the card for this afternoon.
Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
I ventured into the village earlier this evening.
I suffer from lack of balance, and I ended up hugging a wall when the wind was gusting.
I accepted the offer of help from two known locals who walked me back home (arm in arm).

Always worth taking a screenshot if you think something is wrong. that way you can quietly delete it if it was your mistake, or parade it around if it was theirs.

Re: The really boring and totally pointless snippets thread V
Just woken after traditional Christmas postprandial nap. 10/15 this afternoon.
Lunch, prepared by D1, D2 and Granddaughter, was ham, turkey, baked potatoes and various salads, followed by a dessert of pavlova. Various wines were imbibed.
Currently 27C, Max was 29C. Clear blue skies earlier, with a nice breeze. Now it's cloudy and very still. Feels like we may get the forecast possible severe thunderstorms.
